Hans Recknagel was awarded *best student poster* at PopGroup46 for his work "A hybrid genetic linkage map of two ecologically and  morphologically divergent Midas cichlid fishes ( Amphilophus spp.)", co-authored by Kathryn Elmer and Axel Meyer. Gut getimt -- the paper is now out! 

Earlier great news -- Hans Recknagel, from the Meyer lab in Konstanz, has joined our lab through the Leonardo da Vinci programme!

An expedition from SCENE braved the cold, late autumn weather in northern Scotland in search of spawning Arctic charr.  Success!
